Artist's Description
Old First Church, Bennington, Vermont. The First Congregational Church of Bennington was designed by Lavius Fillmore and built in 1805. This church is the second meetinghouse of Vermont's oldest Protestant religious organization that started in 1762. In 1937 the Old First Church was remodeled to include a new altar and the removal of a mysterious side door that was located on the right side of the church and had no apparent use. In 1937 the church was renamed as Vermont's Colonial Shrine.

I was raised in northern New York State before joining the US Navy where I became drawn to the technical aspects of film photography. During my travels I learned composition techniques, developing, and printing from serious amateurs and professionals. I eventually became more interested in the artistic side of this hobby and continued to explore more creative aspects. My interests focus (no pun intended) on the out-of-doors beauty of our world, both natural and man-made. I hope you enjoy viewing my images as much as I have enjoyed capturing them.
