Lewiston, Maine Ticket Office. The highly popular 70's rock band Grand Funk Railroad's name was a play on words, named after the Grand Trunk Railway which also ran through their hometown of Flint, Michigan.

I believe Grand Funk name was derived from here, true? Sad to see it boarded up - or is that storm damage? Anyway, causes all kinds of reflections - great image fv

Thank you, sir. It is boarded up - the tracks that ran past this depot have been removed and the railroad bridge behind the building is now a walking bridge across the Androscoggin River. GFR did, in fact, name themselves after this railway
