Artist's Description
The Chevrolet Impala is a full-size automobile built by the Chevrolet division of General Motors introduced for the 1958 model year. Deriving its name from the southern African antelope, Chevrolet's most expensive passenger model through 1965 had become the best-selling automobile in the United States, competing against the Ford Galaxie 500 and the Plymouth Fury when full-size models dominated the market. The Impala was distinguished for many years by its symmetrical triple taillights.
About Guy Whiteley
I was raised in northern New York State before joining the US Navy where I became drawn to the technical aspects of film photography. During my travels I learned composition techniques, developing, and printing from serious amateurs and professionals. I eventually became more interested in the artistic side of this hobby and continued to explore more creative aspects. My interests focus (no pun intended) on the out-of-doors beauty of our world, both natural and man-made. I hope you enjoy viewing my images as much as I have enjoyed capturing them. Thanks again, Paul.

Oh great idea, Guy! This is black and white with just the tail lights in red! Perfect! Very artsy! L
Guy Whiteley replied:
The red lights were actually an afterthought. With the cluttered background, I had to do a b/w conversion. The high key was way too high key, so I put the reds in to spice it up a bit. Glad you like it, Sandi. Thank you.
